A. We take pride in using great ingredients, including ethically raised meat, premium dairy, and quality packaging to ensure our products reach you at their best. ATB fresh meats, whether beef, chicken, or pork, are all 100% Canadian from farms close by in Ontario and Québec, or as far away as Prince Edward Island. Very occasionally we carry high-quality Australian beef from a supplier we know and trust. We try very hard to source our meats from reputable farms, suppliers and co-ops. Our chicken and pork are from Ontario and Québec. Our turkeys for Thanksgiving and Christmas are from The Scotch Line Turkey Company which is a family farm in Elmira, Ontario. They are fresh (never frozen unless you request this), natural and drug-free.  The birds are free run, not kept in cages, but live in large barns as a flock. Nowadays, it is best practice to protect poultry from avian diseases so they are not allowed to roam outdoors. Our beef comes mainly from Prince Edward Island. PEI beef is excellent in quality and taste. The PEI farmers take a handling course regarding raising beef responsibly. Our ground beef is made fresh daily from the same cuts you see in our counter. It’s one of our favourite items in the store. When you buy meats from ATB, you are supporting Canadian smaller farmers and local employment. You are putting good food on the dinner table that you can feel confident in.
